Global Article 9 Campaign Press Conference at the Parliament Members Building in Tokyo

On July 19, 2013, the Global Article 9 Campaign held a press conference at the Parliament Members Building in Tokyo, to present the international petition "Prime Minister Abe: Save Japan's Peace Constitution" and announce Peace & Green Boat 2013 Asian Regional Voyage. The voyage will visit Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Okinawa and mainland China between October 18-28, 2013 and will focus on issues of Article 9 of the Japanese Peace Constitution and peacebuilding in the region.

From left to right: Peace Boat Executive Committee Member Nohira Shinsaku, Peace Boat Director and Co-initiator of the Global Article 9 Campaign Yoshioka Tatsuya, Korean Professor at Keisen University Lee Young Chae and US documentary filmmaker and Japan Focus associate John Junkerman. Junkerman directed a movie about Japan's constitution (Nihonkoku Kenpo). Both Lee and Junkerman are based in Tokyo.
